Here is how you can set up your own custom signature and avatar to use on the forum.

Step 1 - Get your image hosted

Your images must be hosted on a server somewhere on the internet. There are many reliable payed services, but most opt for the free services. Some good ones you may want to try are

www.imageshack.us
www.photobucket.com

Step 2 - Setting up

Signatures
- Click on User CP and select Edit Signature (note - You can also find the edit signature option in the Quick Links option at the top)
- From there, copy the URL of the signature image, and paste it into that feild between IMG brackets. Like this:
Code:
[img]imageURLhere[/img]
- From there, you may want to preview it first to make sure it's working correctly. When it's all set up right, click save, and your done

Avatars
- Click on User CP and select Edit Avatar
- Paste the URL of your desired avatar image where it says Enter Avatar URL:. Even though there is an upload option feild there, avatar uploads have been disabled for all usergroups. Saves space on the server and keeps things running faster.
- Select save changes. Your avatar should apear on that screen.

Size Restrictions

Signatures
  • 150 pixels high by 450 pixels wide
  • No more then 60kb
Avatars
  • 100 pixels high by 100 pixels wide
  • No more then 60kb
With signatures, try to keep to one image, and do not let the sum of your images step outside the size restrictions, bolth filesize and image size. This applies for those mini sigs that say 'I am a ___ user' and things of that nature. Having a lot of signatures does not mean you can go over 60KB total, or take up half the page with your sigs. Keep it sensible

Also, use commen sense with content. No pornographic material, or inapropriate images.
