I think there was once a thread like this but I'm just gonna make a new one. That was a long time ago.

basically what this is is you suggest a band you really like that other people may not have heard of, share a little something about the band... where you can find their music, and their websites I guess for additional information if people wish it.

I'll go first then since, well I am first ahaha.

I suggest people check out The Knife.

The Knife is a musical duo from Sweden formed in 1999. The band consists of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer. One of the group's distinguishing characteristics is their unwillingness to cooperate with the media or the mainstream music scene. The group rarely makes public appearances, most of their promotional photos feature the members wearing masks, usually venetian masks and until recently, they outright refused to perform live concerts.

they have about five albumns out, the last comes out this year sometime and the title makes fun of Justin Timberlake.

its a pretty mellow, indie-pop kinda sound.

heres some yuotubage fo them for you.

nice idea for a thread :) though yeah i think it was concieved before but in a different form.

anyway, i think you guys should check out Me First & The Gimme Gimme's.

There a punk/rock cover band from California. They only cover music, mainly from the 60's and 70's and they do some really nice work.

a few examples.

Thinking 'of Montreal'.I will usually watch the Wedge on Much on frisay nights, and there was this video and the song was soo catchy I had to look it up to hear again and even downloaded it on limewire.... gotta love the uber bass and the old school pumps.

I was on a old site .Russian Gothic Page - Gothic MP3 where I got most of my music back in the day, and i found this Band i had forgoten about Apocalyptica. I listened to a few songs, and now im like in love with it .
