So yeah, umm I decided to play online (TSFP) after like 3 months and guess what, it doesn?t work anymore.  I know it?s not the cable because I tested it out and it works on everything else other then the connection between my PS2 and my modem (The cable is emitting no light but does when connected to other things).  It cant be my Network settings because I haven?t touched them and they worked before.  That?s why I?m guessing my adaptor is broken so I looked in my Network Adaptor Instruction Manual and it said ?For any problems with your Network Adaptor please refer to the Network Adaptor Instruction Manual?.  What I don?t have so can I get a hand here?

DUDE! same with me i had mine for a couple of months and the other day it stopped working, and i'm VERY sure it's not the cable or settings, i'm starting to get pissed at sony's low reliability.I'm going to have someone bring there's over and test it to make sure it's mine so i can get a new one.

Well if I were you guys, I'd call the service line. If they cant help you fix it over the line, theyll have you ship it to them. Yes, youll have to pay for it to get shipped, but they should fix it for free. The fixed my ps2 for free..

Is it only TSFP that doesn't go online? Because if so:

TS3 has rather annoying online requirements. Firstly, the EA run servers require you to have a static IP for your PS2. (This is the only game i have that requires that). If you use your network hardware for DHCP, you must set it to always give your PS2 the same IP address. If you don't then you'll have the cursed problem i had that gave me such a bad rank. After each game you play, it will cut the connection, you'r stats won't be logged, and when you log on again, you'r headset will be deactivated. You can see why it's important <_<

The second thing is the ports. In the instruction manual there is a Network section that tells you the ports you need to open if your network hardware acts as a firewall. I personnally set my PS2 as a DMZ host, so i will never need to set ports.

If it just doesn't work althogether, then yeah, i'll either be the server, or the NA.

Create new settings and see if that works.

I already tried creating new settings but when it tried testing my connection it said it couldn?t find my cable or detect a server, something like that.  Yeah I made sure it wasn?t loose and I know it isn?t a faulty cable.  Saying that could somebody post the service line?

I've also tried creating new settings, and i know the cable works fine and the internet was working fine at the moment.I've already talked to adelphia they said that the PS2 was not getting an IP.
